As an American, you’re probably familiar with the “green rush” of the past decade.
But what about people who live in Sri Lanka, a country that has been at the forefront of fighting climate change?
It’s a hotbed of activity for those concerned about climate change and its impacts, as well as people who are passionate about its causes.
The country has already become the global leader in renewable energy, and its goal of 100 percent renewable energy by 2050 has helped fuel a surge in climate change activism in the United States.
While some of this activity is aimed at building a sustainable future for Sri Lanka and its citizens, many people in the country are also passionate about the need for climate action and are working to change the way Sri Lanka’s government handles climate change.
