How to watch Bizmeet: Sri Lanka vs. India
Sri Lanka has a bye in this World Cup, which means it has a good chance of going through.
The tournament is set to kick off on June 3 in England, followed by a three-match home series against Bangladesh on June 9 and June 12 in India.
With both sides coming off their three-game winning streak, they will be desperate to get the best result of the tournament.
If Sri Lanka can make the most of the bye, it will be a good opportunity for India to make a run at the final.
Sri Lanka has only lost once in the last eight years, a 3-2 defeat to Australia in the 2015 World Cup.
Bangladesh will also be looking to win the match.
India has won five games in a row since their defeat to Sri Lanka in the previous round.
Indian players will have a few options to choose from.
They can go for the easy option of batting first, as they have done in every match this tournament.
The easy option is to try and bowl the ball around the opposition’s front line and try and score runs in their own half.
Alternatively, they could try and run the ball from the middle and take control of the match by using their pace.
That is a very risky move.
India have the advantage of being able to bat at a relatively higher level, especially in the first innings.
It is not out of the question that India could be playing the easy way and get a good result, but it is likely that the team will be looking for the easier option.
Another option is that they could take a cautious approach and play their own way.
That will probably mean not bowling to the opposition, and playing from the bowler’s spot.
This is not something that can be ruled out, but India should not try to bowl from the back line as that would be risky, especially with Sri Lanka’s pace attack.
When India and Sri Lanka meet in this tournament, the outcome will be decided in the final, which will take place on June 10 in Sri Lanka.
